Public Education

I have additional background in teaching from the K-12 and 0-3 public education sector. Since it has been prior to the PhD yet informs the committee of my background and competencies, I'll list the experiences in bullet points below.

• Taught from 1995 to 2008; full time from 1998 to 2008
• Experience with special education, Deaf and hard-of-hearing birth-to-three, elementary, junior high and middle school
• Taught at self-contained residential school, a resource room in center sites, and taught elementary classrooms as main general ed teacher
• Designed units, created assessments, iterated designs over courses of lessons, units, months, years
